            • Dawes County Part-Time Veteran Services Driver
              Dawes County has an immediate opening for our Veteran Services Driver position. Do you want to help the Veterans of Dawes County? Have you been looking for a way to earn extra money while contributing to lives of our Nation’s Heroes? The Dawes County Veterans Service Office is seeking applications for our Driver position. Part-Time permanent position 15-25 hours a week; being flexible with scheduling is key to this position to meet the needs of our County Veterans. Position open until filled. Job Description: Provide transportation for Dawes County Veterans to their scheduled VA health care appointments.

            • Dawes County Sheriff’s Department – Jail – Female Corrections Officer

              Job Description Brief:
              • Implementation and day-to-day application of policy and operating procedures that are required for incarcerated inmate population pursuant to NE State Law(s) and Rules/Regulations of Dawes County Jail.
              • Plan and supervise the care, custody, and control of inmates
              • Any other duties that may be assigned by the supervisory staff and Sheriff
            • Dawes County Road Heavy Equipment Operator/Truck Driver
              Dawes County Road Department is now accepting applications for a full-time 40 hour per week Equipment Operator/Truck Driver.   Applicant must have a High School Diploma or equivalent, a valid NE driver’s license “Class A” CDL preferred or the ability to obtain a Class A CDL within 6 months of hire. A pre-employment drug test and enrollment in a random alcohol and drug testing program is required.
