Agricultural Society

About the Ag Society

We are usually referred to as the fair board, but we are an Agricultural Society and our constitutions and By-Laws are that of the Nebraska State Board of Agriculture. All registered voters of Dawes County can vote at the annual meeting which is held in November each year. Date and time for the meetings are posted in the US Post Office, Court House, and 4-H Building. It is also printed in The Chadron Record along with the budget for the upcoming year. Anyone that is interested on being on the board may contact any board member regarding inclusion on the ballet. Terms are for 3 years. The board may appoint a person to fill any term that has a resignation.
